The MIO Bar & Lounge is more than a drink stop at Alexanderplatz: refined, stylish, with that particular Berlin flair you only find beneath the TV Tower. Not a place for mindless hanging out — more like the calm, cultivated meeting point in the heart of Berlin-Mitte: for a quick aperitif after work, a long date with a good glass of wine, an after-dinner drink following a meal in the restaurant, or simply a relaxed evening with friends.
Our bartenders stick to solid classics, cleanly built — and at the same time experiment with creative reinterpretations. Sweet, sour, sharp, bitter and creamy on one menu where everyone finds their drink. Right next to the bar is the lounge with comfortable seating groups — perfect for longer evenings, smaller rounds and everything in between. On weekends it runs until open end.

From the morning espresso through an Aperol Spritz before dinner to a Negroni at the bar afterwards: our drinks menu accompanies every moment at MIO. The cocktail list is classic and cleanly built — Aperol Spritz, Gin & Tonic, Negroni, Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini, Mojito and the usual suspects, all made by hand.
Add to that a small but well-curated wine list, champagne and crémant for special occasions — and of course a freshly tapped beer when that’s what it calls for. If you want a recommendation, ask the bartenders; if you already know what you want, you get it fast and clean.

LED chandelier, dimmed light, intimacy.
The interior is deliberately refined: dimmed light, comfortable seating groups, a large LED chandelier as a visual anchor above the bar. During the day, daylight floods the front lounge area; in the evening the lighting installation takes over and creates a high level of intimacy — the room becomes a world of its own.
In the background, a lounge soundtrack plays; on weekends it moves towards house and disco without ever reaching club volume. Those who want to talk can talk; those who simply want to let the evening unfold have the right atmosphere for it.

Right at Alexanderplatz — easy to reach.
The bar & lounge is located at Panoramastraße 1a, just a few steps from the TV Tower. From Alexanderplatz station you can walk to us in under three minutes — by underground, city train, tram or regional train. One of the most easily reached bars in Berlin-Mitte.
Within walking distance you also find Hackescher Markt, the Nikolaiviertel, the Rotes Rathaus and the Berliner Dom — perfect for a drink after the theatre or as a meeting point for guests from the hotels around Alexanderplatz. Parking is available at the Alexa car park and the Park Inn underground garage, both less than five minutes on foot.

We open daily at 10 am. Sunday to Thursday we are open until midnight, Friday and Saturday until open end.

No, walk-ins are always fine at the bar — we make room. If you’re coming with a larger group or want a fixed table in the lounge area, you can reserve in advance via OpenTable, WhatsApp or by email to restaurant@mioberlin.de.
Is there a dress code in the bar?
No. The bar & lounge has no dress code — come as you feel good. The smart casual dress code only applies in the club area on weekends.
Can the lounge be booked for private events?
Yes. For cocktail receptions, after-work events, smaller private celebrations or company drinks, the lounge can be partly or fully reserved — just get in touch and we’ll put together a proposal.
Are non-alcoholic cocktails available?
Of course. Our bartenders are happy to mix non-alcoholic versions of the classics or their own creations — just tell them what you like.

For a spot at the bar or a quick drink in the lounge, a walk-in is enough — just talk to our staff and we’ll make room. If you want a fixed table in the lounge, are coming with a larger group, or want to play it safe on a weekend, you can reserve in advance.
