MIO is built as a restaurant, bar and club — which is exactly what makes it an unusually flexible event venue in Berlin-Mitte. Generous spaces, a bright main hall, a comfortable lounge, a 180° daylight outdoor area and an LED chandelier as the visual anchor. All under one roof, all right at Alexanderplatz beneath the TV Tower.

What sets the location apart: the seating layout can be changed quickly, buffet and stage go where you need them, the lounge area becomes the welcome desk or the aftershow floor. In-house kitchen, full bar, an experienced event team — we build every setup with you and run it during the event.

Occasions & setups

From a business lunch to a wedding for 500 guests.

The strength of the venue is that dramaturgy, seating and lighting mood can be set up completely differently for each occasion. We run conferences with stage and seating, corporate events with buffet and live DJ, weddings from the ceremony to the aftershow, product launches with standing reception and showcase, birthdays, prom balls, summer parties and anniversaries — on a total of 1,000 sqm.

On the event side, a dedicated contact accompanies you from the briefing through tasting and setup meetings to the day itself — from setup through catering to door and cloakroom logistics. Those who already have a concrete setting in mind send us the key facts; those who are still undecided get two or three proposals back.

Full event technology on site — one setup less to think about.

Beamer with 3,400 ANSI lumens and a 2 × 2 m screen, sound system and DJ mixer, lighting installation including laser, WLAN everywhere, 100 MB internet, stage rentable, freight lift up to 1,000 kg and power supply in several configurations — catering and production teams usually need to bring nothing but their own content.

Location & how to reach us

In the heart of Berlin — easy to reach for guests from all over the world.

The event venue is at Panoramastraße 1a, right at Alexanderplatz and in sight of the TV Tower. From Alexanderplatz station, guests reach the venue in under three minutes on foot — by underground, city train, tram, regional train or long-distance train.

Within walking distance you also find Hackescher Markt, the Nikolaiviertel, the Rotes Rathaus and the Berliner Dom — perfect for hotel guests around Alexanderplatz and for multi-stage programmes with a city walk. Parking is available at the Alexa car park and the Park Inn underground garage, both less than five minutes on foot. For production and catering, truck access is possible directly at the building.

Do you handle catering yourselves?

Yes. We cook with our own kitchen and run a full bar — buffet, sit-down, show cooking, drink packages or à la carte are possible. Special requests, allergies and vegetarian/vegan portions are taken into account.

At what times can the venue be used?

Daytime events from 9 am to 4 pm, evening events from 5 pm to 4 am. Monday to Friday plus Saturday from 9 am to 4 am and Sunday from 4 pm to 2 am. Longer time windows by arrangement.
